Everything Reads From the Same Stock

On most setups, inventory is a silo. You buy a stock app, then a subscriptions app, then a reviews app, and spend your week making them agree. In UltraCart, inventory is the spine the rest of the platform already reads from.

Subscriptions and Auto Orders

Recurring orders reduce the count and forecast against the same inventory, so your retention engine and your stock never disagree.

Built-In Reviews

Reviews attach to the same items as your stock, tying social proof to the exact products you can actually ship.

Upsells and Revenue Enhancement

Upsells pull from the same catalog and stock, so you never push an offer for something that just went out of stock.

AI Reporting and Data Warehouse

AI-powered reporting and the BigQuery data warehouse turn inventory history into demand forecasts and reorder insight.

Omnichannel Selling

StoreFronts, custom checkout, POS and local pickup, eBay, and Buy Buttons all draw from one inventory pool.

3PL and Fulfillment Sync

Fulfillment partners such as ShipBob, Distribution Management, and Shipedge sync inventory back to the same catalog.

Inventory That Feeds Retention

Subscriptions and auto orders read from the same stock your storefront sells.

When you forecast a subscription program, you are forecasting against real inventory, not an estimate copied between systems. Set it up in the Item Editor under Subscription Items and the numbers stay aligned.

Analytics and Demand Forecasting

AI-powered reporting and the UltraCart Data Warehouse turn stock movement into decisions.

Every sale, return, and adjustment lands in the same data layer, so you can spot trends, forecast demand, and time reorders with the BigQuery-backed warehouse instead of a spreadsheet you maintain by hand.

One Source of Truth, Not a Stack of Apps

Standalone inventory tools force a choice: run your stock in a silo and sync it everywhere, or stack a paid inventory app on top of paid subscription and reviews apps just to match what UltraCart does out of the box. Either way you pay in money and in reconciliation time.

What You Replace

  • A standalone inventory or stock-control tool you sync to your store
  • A separate subscriptions app to handle recurring orders
  • A separate reviews app to collect social proof
  • The middleware and manual checks that keep them agreeing

What You Get Instead

  • Multi-warehouse stock control built into the platform
  • Subscriptions, reviews, and upsells reading the same catalog
  • Safety-stock reorder reporting delivered every business day
  • One number that checkout, fulfillment, and reporting all trust

Inventory is included with UltraCart. On other platforms, that is a paid app, often stacked on top of more paid apps. See where it lands on your plan.

Inventory FAQ.

Does UltraCart support multi-warehouse inventory management?

Yes. You can set a desired level and a reorder level per item for each distribution center, ship orders from the location that has stock or sits closest to the customer, and allocate inventory across centers. SKU translation keeps your warehouse and catalog identifiers in sync.

How does safety stock and automated reorder work in UltraCart?

UltraCart emails you a reorder spreadsheet every business day, Monday through Friday around 8 AM EST. It lists exactly which items have fallen below their safety stock and how many units to buy, so you reorder on data instead of guesswork. Low-stock notifications warn you before a bestseller quietly sells out.

Can I track inventory by product variation?

Yes. Every size, color, material, and custom attribute carries its own inventory count, so you track stock at the level your catalog actually sells. Kits and bundles draw down their component stock automatically when a kit sells, so counts stay accurate.

How does UltraCart handle backorders?

Backorders are handled automatically on tracked items, so you can keep selling without overselling. You can allocate stock across distribution centers so the right orders ship first, and customers see accurate availability at checkout.

Do subscriptions and recurring orders use the same inventory?

Yes. Subscriptions and auto orders read from the same stock your storefront sells. When you forecast a subscription program you are forecasting against real inventory, not an estimate copied between systems, so your retention engine and your stock never disagree.

Do I need a separate inventory app with UltraCart?

No. Inventory management is built into UltraCart and shared with checkout, subscriptions, reviews, upsells, POS, and fulfillment partners such as ShipBob, Distribution Management, and Shipedge. There is no standalone stock app to buy, sync, or reconcile. One number is trusted by every channel.
