Sell print on demand products from your own storefront, with orders routed to Printify and tracking returned automatically.
The Printify print on demand integration lets you sell custom apparel, mugs, posters, and accessories from your own UltraCart storefront while Printify's global partner network handles printing, packing, and delivery. You keep the customer, the checkout, and the margin. Printify produces and ships the order, and the tracking number posts back to UltraCart on its own.
Printify is one of the largest print on demand marketplaces in the world, used by more than 10 million merchants and offering a catalog of over 1,300 customizable products through a network of 90 or more print providers. Its partner facilities span 100+ printing locations and have delivered more than 60 million products to customers across 209 countries and territories. Orders route to the print provider closest to the buyer, which shortens delivery times without you coordinating any of it.
Running print on demand without a real integration means rebuilding your catalog by hand. Every color and size becomes another product to key in, every sale gets retyped into a second dashboard, and every tracking number gets pasted back so the customer actually receives a shipping notice. UltraCart removes that work with a built-in Printify Import Shop tool: enter your API key and shop ID, and UltraCart pulls your Printify catalog, creates the items and their variants in your store, and provisions a distribution center with working transport credentials in a single pass. From that point on, orders containing those items transmit to Printify automatically, and returned tracking numbers land on the order record where they trigger your normal shipment notification.
Printify runs as a full UltraCart distribution center rather than a bolted-on app, so everything UltraCart already does with fulfillment applies to it. Mixed carts split correctly when a buyer adds a Printify shirt alongside inventory you ship yourself, and distribution center location preferences let you route orders by cost or proximity. Item-level SKU mapping is backed by a built-in lookup tool that finds the Printify product and variant IDs for you, which is the piece merchants cannot locate anywhere in the Printify interface on their own. You can re-run the import later to pull in new Printify products while silently skipping items you have already tuned, so your existing pricing, descriptions, and images stay intact.
Yes. The Printify print on demand integration lets you sell Printify products directly from your UltraCart storefront, so you own the checkout, the customer record, and the margin while Printify handles production and delivery.
Yes. Printify is configured as an UltraCart distribution center, so any order containing a mapped Printify item transmits for production on its own and the tracking number is written back to the UltraCart order when it ships.
No. The Printify Import Shop tool under Items and Tools pulls your Printify catalog, creates the items and their variants, and maps the SKUs for you. You can also map an individual item manually using the built-in Printify product search on the item's Shipping tab.
No. Printify's API does not return live shipping quotes, so no platform can pull them at checkout. Most merchants either set a flat shipping fee on Printify items or build the shipping cost into the item price and offer free shipping.
Yes. Every color and size is imported as its own variant, so a large apparel catalog can add items quickly and may move you to a higher service plan. The import tool lets you deselect products you do not want and skip variants that have no images.
The import tool saves your API key and shop ID on the distribution center's transmission mechanism, under Configuration, Checkout, Shipping, Distribution Centers. You can update them there at any time without re-running the import.
