Hand off pick, pack, and shipping to Argo Shipping, with orders and tracking moving automatically over UltraCart's REST API.
The Argo Shipping fulfillment integration connects your UltraCart store to Argo's warehouses so orders transmit for pick, pack, and shipping without anyone rekeying them. You keep the storefront, the checkout, and the customer relationship. Argo owns everything after the buy button, including inventory, packing, carrier routing, claims, and returns.
Argo Shipping is a technology company operating in logistics and print, running fulfillment centers in Lehi, Utah and McHenry, Illinois. Two locations on opposite sides of the country matter more than most merchants expect, because carriers price by zone and the building an order leaves from decides how many zone steps sit between you and your customer. Argo backs the operation with terms most warehouses will not match, including reimbursement at 100% of replacement cost for domestic product lost or damaged in their building, with no per-package cap.
Third-party fulfillment usually creates a second system to babysit. Orders get exported and uploaded by hand, SKUs drift out of sync between two catalogs, and tracking numbers arrive late enough that customers email you before the shipping notice does. This integration removes that loop by running on UltraCart's REST Fulfillment API: you select the REST transmission mechanism on your distribution center, choose the Authorized Application that Argo provides, and orders begin transmitting on their own. Shipment data returns to the UltraCart order record, so your existing notification and tracking flow keeps working exactly as it already does.
Because Argo is configured as a standard UltraCart distribution center, everything UltraCart already does with fulfillment routing applies to it. You can split mixed carts between Argo and inventory you ship yourself, set distribution center location preferences to route by cost or proximity, and attach an optional webhook when your workflow needs event-level notification. Argo's Partner Portal runs alongside the integration with live cost, transit time, and exception data you can export by shipment, and their team files carrier claims on your behalf instead of sending you to the carrier. Subscription programs fit this setup well, with UltraCart handling recurring billing, retry logic, and dunning while Argo handles renewal batches and box swaps on the warehouse floor.
Yes. Argo Shipping acquired Disk.com, and some UltraCart screens may still display the legacy Disk.com label on the transmission mechanism even though the service is operated by Argo Shipping.
Yes. The legacy Disk.com API is being decommissioned, so both new and existing merchants should use the REST transmission mechanism going forward. Ask Argo for your Authorized Application, then switch your distribution center over to REST.
Over UltraCart's REST Fulfillment API. You configure Argo as a distribution center, select the REST transmission mechanism, and choose the Authorized Application that Argo provides. Orders containing mapped items then transmit for fulfillment automatically.
Confirm that REST is selected as the transmission mechanism, that the correct Authorized Application is chosen, that your shipping method names match on both sides, and that your item SKUs match Argo's catalog. SKU mismatches are the most common cause of fulfillment failures.
Yes. Argo is configured as a standard UltraCart distribution center, so you map only the items Argo fulfills. Mixed carts split automatically, and distribution center location preferences let you route orders by cost or proximity.
Argo reimburses domestic product lost or damaged in their building at 100% of replacement cost with no per-package cap, and their team files the carrier claim on your behalf where the service carries a claims process. Terms apply, so confirm the specifics with Argo during onboarding.
