The UltraCart platform updates for August 2026 are about accuracy and fewer manual steps. Smart Attribution picked up four corrections that change the numbers you report on, from affiliate clicks that were counted two and three times to auto order rebills whose touchpoint revenue did not match the order total. The CRM gained a Subscriptions tab and the ability to clear an email suppression from the Activity tab without a developer, and the Visual Builder now has a date and time condition so marketing content can be staged in advance and retire on its own. Free item coupons also got a round of fixes worth reading if you run giveaways.
Documentation
Following July's migration to docs.ultracart.com, August finished the job of pointing everything at the new home and filled in coverage for the areas you ask about most.
- In-app search: The search box in the top right of the admin now searches docs.ultracart.com, so a search from inside the platform returns current documentation.
- Documentation links: Links throughout the app now point at docs.ultracart.com instead of the retired Confluence space, which means no more landing on a page that no longer exists.
- New and expanded coverage: StoreFront Visual Builder documentation was expanded with new assets and walkthroughs, the fulfillment integration pages were corrected and filled out, and the fraud prevention and item tags documentation were both updated.
Integrations
Shipping integrations got better international data and a more reliable trigger, and three other connectors picked up fixes for data that was previously dropped or rejected.
- ShipStation: You can now set distribution center defaults for the international customs Country of Origin and HTS Commodity Code, so customs paperwork is populated correctly without editing every item. Bill to handling was also fixed, including Amazon orders that arrive with only a first name.
- ShippingEasy: Orders are now cued on the tracking number rather than the ship date, which makes tracking updates arrive when the shipment actually has a number attached.
- Iterable: The refund number is now tracked, so refunds can be matched to the original transaction in your Iterable flows.
- Klaviyo: Fixes for SMS subscribe errors.
- QuickBooks Online: Email addresses containing a single quote are now handled, so customers with an apostrophe in their address sync instead of failing.
New Integration Profiles on UltraCart.com
- Chargebacks and Disputes: A new integration category covering chargeback and dispute tooling, including UltraCart's own Fraud Prevention and Accounts Receivable Retry alongside partner services Chargebacks911 and DisputeDash.
- Fulfillment partners: New profiles for Argo, Deposco, Printify, ShipMonk, ShipEdge, Shippo, and Veeqo joined the fulfillment integrations directory, so you can compare options before committing to a 3PL.
StoreFronts
The Visual Builder learned to schedule content, country fields gained per-country overrides, and cart events now fire from the item widgets that change the cart. Two new tracking pixels also arrived.
Visual Builder: Conditions
- Date and time condition: A new condition element that shows or hides content on a schedule. You can stage a promotion in advance so it appears on its launch date and retires on its own, and evergreen content can rotate through recurring time windows without anyone editing the page at the moment it needs to change.
Visual Builder: Country Fields
- Country overrides: Billing and shipping country fields now support valid only for and invalid for overrides, so you can restrict where an order can ship at the field level.
Visual Builder: Item Offer and Item Toggle
- Cart events: Add to cart and remove from cart events now fire when these widgets change the cart, covering priming, SKU swaps, pack size changes, and toggling. Your configured ad platforms and analytics vendors finally hear about these changes, and every removed line is reported rather than just the last one.
- Render loop fix: Fixed an infinite render loop when an item toggle sits inside a checkout condition that re-renders on cart changes.
Visual Builder: MyAccount Login Form
- Per-tier redirects: Go to URL options can be set per pricing tier, so wholesale customers can be sent to a different page after login than retail customers.
Conversion & Tracking
- Attentive: A JS pixel integration on the StoreFront, a new Company ID (Tag ID) field, an updated StoreFront template, and Attentive events surfaced in Page View History.
- Nextdoor: A new pixel tracking integration that pairs with the existing Conversion API integration, with richer event payloads and CAPI events captured in Page View History.
Blog
- RSS feeds: Blog posts now generate automatic RSS feeds, so readers and aggregators can subscribe without any setup on your side.
Order Management
Review Orders got real server side sorting, and several fixes cleaned up duplicate records and missing notifications.
- Review orders: Column headers now perform a real server side sort across the whole result set rather than sorting only the page in front of you. The sort is carried in the request, so it survives paging and can be bookmarked. The ship on date range now filters the ship on date, and ship to company sorting works.
- Addresses: GIS handling fixes for APO and FPO addresses, so military addresses validate correctly.
- Auto orders: Canceling an auto order now writes an auto order log entry, which gives you a record of who canceled and when.
- Mark shipped: Posting the pre-populated tracking number back unchanged no longer records the same tracking number twice.
- Order editor: Saving the items on an order no longer re-mints its auto order items, so an edit does not disturb the subscription attached to the order.
- Replacement shipments: Saving a replacement shipment now triggers the notification, so the customer hears that a replacement is on the way.
- Test cards: An automated merchant note is added when a test card is used and no upsells are shown, which makes it clear later why the upsell path looked empty.
Item Management
- Destination restrictions: Destination restrictions are now stored as ISO codes, the shipping restriction add screen uses a modern cascading picker, and destination restrictions are available in Batch Item Update. If you restrict shipping on a large catalog, you can now change it in one pass instead of item by item.
Coupons & Promotions
If you run giveaways, this is the section to read. Several free item behaviors that produced surprise charges or missing gifts were corrected.
- Free item coupons: A giveaway item no longer re-adds itself at full price on every cart update, and the surplus line can be removed. A kit containing the giveaway SKU no longer consumes the free item limit, so the customer still receives the gift.
- Free item coupons with free shipping: The purchase dollar requirement is now enforced, and the giveaway no longer counts toward its own requirement.
- Free promotional items: Start and end dates are now supported, so a promotional item can run for a set window without manual cleanup.
- Free promotions: StoreFronts are listed by name on the free promotion screen, which makes picking the right one straightforward when you run several.
Communications & Marketing
Importing members into a list was reworked. If you have ever imported a CSV and watched the wrong data land in the wrong fields, this is the fix.
- Import members: CSV columns are now matched by header name rather than by position, so a file whose columns are in a different order no longer imports the wrong data. An import whose email column holds no addresses is blocked with an explanation, and an import that adds nobody now says so instead of closing silently.
- Import progress: The progress dialog reports members added, the list's member count, and an estimated time remaining. The batch size adapts to server response time, so large lists no longer time out partway through.
- Survey: The survey name is now carried into StoreFront Communications, so you can tell which survey a response came from.
CRM
The biggest CRM release in months. Support agents gained a Subscriptions tab, the ability to clear an email suppression themselves, and contextual help on 61 screens. Phone menus, SMS, and the Zoho Desk integration all picked up fixes as well.
Customers
- Subscriptions tab: A new tab listing a customer's auto orders with lifetime value, per item next shipment dates (including the reason when there is no date), a transactions history dialog, and a refresh that preserves the current page, sort, and filter. Multi-item subscriptions render as aligned per item bands, so dates and values line up with the item they belong to.
- Email suppression: Suppression can now be cleared from the Activity tab. An agent can clear a global unsubscribe, a spam complaint, or a bounce suppression, capturing a consent source and reason, without a developer or a manual console action.
- Email activity: Email activity rows now show the email subject, matching the legacy Customer Profiles app, so an agent can tell which message a customer is asking about.
- Marketing status: StoreFront Communications marketing status appears on the Activity tab, including the last activity date and an explanation when the customer falls outside the range the plan supports.
- Search results: Tags in customer search results are capped at three per row behind a "+N more" toggle again, and expanded rows collapse when the result set changes.
Help
- Current Screen Help: A new button in the app header opens the documentation for the screen the agent is on, covering 61 screens. The button is hidden where no documentation exists, so it never sends anyone to a dead end.
- Documentation links: Links throughout the app now point at docs.ultracart.com instead of the retired Confluence space.
Notifications
- Toast dismissal: The system toast is dismissed after "Take Me There", so an agent no longer lands on the target page still looking at a stale notification.
Phone Menus (PBX)
- Text the caller: A menu option can now text the caller a message, a support email address for example, instead of reading it aloud over text to speech. An optional Send From number is available if your voice number is not SMS enabled.
- Menu editor layout: The editor modal is tighter. Greeting Type, Input Wait Time, and Allow Direct Extensions share a row, greeting branches are spaced consistently, and route option columns are proportioned.
- Route Call ordering: The Route Call list now orders the Other group last, below Agents, Queues, Menus, Voicemails, and Time Routers.
SMS
- Delivery status: Delivery status now applies to a message as soon as it is sent, instead of only after the conversation is re-opened.
- Navigation: Leaving an SMS conversation returns to the SMS list rather than the webchat landing page.
- Number formatting: Phone numbers typed when starting a new conversation are normalized to E.164, which fixes sends that previously failed at the queue.
Zoho Desk
- Outgoing call tickets: A new agent setting creates a Zoho Desk ticket for outgoing calls. The settings section appears only when outgoing calls are recorded automatically.
- Draft generation: Draft generation stops if the agent marks the ticket as spam while a draft is in flight, and a duplicate draft tool call from the model is handled.
- Configuration: The configuration screen carries more instructional text.
Customer Profiles
- Profile merge: Merging customer profiles now preserves store credit, loyalty history, and cascading child records, and records the merge in an audit table so the history is traceable.
- Customer search: Search now detects when a term is likely a phone number instead of passing the digits along as-is, which returns the customer you were looking for.
Payments
- Authorize.Net: Improved clearance automation for eCheck (ACH) orders, so ACH payments move through settlement with less hands-on work.
- Gateway errors: The placed order API now returns the underlying gateway name in the error message, so a declined transaction tells you which gateway declined it.
BigQuery & Data Warehouse
- EDI documents: EDI documents are now streamed to a new table, so EDI activity is queryable alongside the rest of your warehouse data.
- Survey name: The survey name is carried through to the warehouse, so survey responses can be grouped by survey in your reports.
Reporting & Analytics
Four corrections to Smart Attribution this month, all of which change the numbers. If you report on affiliate performance or subscription revenue, read this section closely.
Smart Attribution
- Affiliate touchpoints: One affiliate click now produces one touchpoint. A single click previously produced two or three, which split one order across several records of the same arrival and credited the wrong share to each. Affiliate performance numbers should now reconcile.
- Affiliate deep links: Affiliate network pixels are now attributed when the network deep links a customer straight onto your StoreFront, not only when the customer passes through a third party landing page first.
- Auto order rebills: Inherited touchpoint revenue is restated against the rebill's own total, so touchpoint dollars in the warehouse agree with the order total. Attributed and unattributed revenue are now populated on rebills.
- Orders through Accounts Receivable: The journey walk is anchored at the order's own session, so an order whose payment is captured later is attributed to the buying session rather than to the replay session that released it.
Sessions
- Returning carts: A returning cart now resumes its analytics session rather than starting a new one, so a customer who leaves and comes back reads as one visit instead of two.
Page View History
- Refreshed presentation: Updated branding and layout.
REST API & Webhooks
New loyalty and OAuth convenience methods, an alpha bulk import capability, and several channel partner improvements that preserve data previously discarded on insert.
Bulk Import (Alpha)
- New endpoints: New bulk import endpoints in the REST SDK for loading records in batches, documented in the API reference alongside the existing resources. This is an alpha capability, so expect refinement.
Channel Partner
- Arbitrary discounts:
importChannelPartnerOrderaccepts an arbitrary subtotal discount and an arbitrary taxable subtotal discount, both preserved through the placed order recalculation. - Historical imports: A new
skip_auto_order_setupsetting suppresses auto order creation on historical imports, so backfilling old orders does not create live subscriptions. It is exposed in the public API spec and the SDKs. - Pricing tiers: Order and channel partner inserts accept an arbitrary pricing tier override.
- Preserved data: Payment transactions, order properties, and the checkout customer IP address are now stored on insert instead of being discarded.
Customer
- Loyalty points: New convenience methods for loyalty:
GET customers/{oid}/loyaltyandPOST customers/{oid}/adjust_loyalty_points. The ledger remains append only. - Email suppression: A new method removes a customer profile from email suppression, which is the API equivalent of the new CRM Activity tab control.
Order
- Customer activity: A new method obtains customer activity by email address, matching the equivalent customer profile endpoint.
- Chargeback matching: Order query can search by BIN and last four in limited scenarios, which helps associate an incoming chargeback with the order it came from.
- Delayed refunds: Refunds can now be delayed.
Auto Order
- Cancel dates:
updateAutoOrderstampscancel_dtswhen an auto order is disabled with the other cancel fields populated, and stamps the disable date when an auto order goes from enabled to disabled with no cancel date or reason. Cancellation reporting no longer has holes where a date should be.
OAuth
- Identify the account: A new
/oauth/memethod lets an application identify the account that connected to it.
August's theme is trustworthy numbers and fewer manual steps: attribution that reconciles, imports that land in the right fields, coupons that give away what you intended, and support agents who can resolve a suppression without escalating.
