Authorizations, captures, voids, refunds, recurring billing, and Customer Vault tokenization flow through NMI's API directly from UltraCart checkout, and the gateway is officially certified to UltraCart as integration "cart 117" in NMI's partner portal.

High-risk and high-volume merchants often end up stitching their gateway, vault, and recurring engine together across three vendors, then layering a payment app on top of their cart. UltraCart's NMI integration replaces all of that with a single configuration block: Username, Password, Platform ID, and Network Merchants Server fields wire the gateway into checkout, and from there UltraCart drives card processing, ACH, recurring billing, Customer Vault tokenization, and 3D Secure flows directly through NMI's API. Multiple MIDs can route through the same gateway connection without splitting the merchant's data.

The integration is built for operators who care about resilience. Cards are stored in both UltraCart's vault and NMI's Customer Vault, so rebills run against a persistent token that survives processor changes, and Account Updater webhooks keep card data current automatically. Recurring subscription and plan events fire through NMI's webhook system into UltraCart, and the "Use credit instead of refund" option is exposed for short MID migration windows.
