Orders move from cart to authorization to capture in real time, and tokenized card data stays in Authorize.Net's PCI-compliant vault so you never handle raw card numbers.

Authorize.Net has been processing online payments since 1996 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Visa. The gateway serves more than 430,000 merchants and handles over one billion transactions and $149 billion in payment volume each year, making it one of the most established and widely supported gateways in the United States.

Connecting a payment gateway through a plugin marketplace usually means another monthly app fee, another point of failure, and another vendor to call when a transaction fails. UltraCart's Authorize.Net integration is built directly into the platform: API Login ID and Transaction Key go straight into your checkout configuration, and UltraCart handles authorizations, captures, voids, refunds, and tokenization through Authorize.Net's REST and AIM APIs automatically. The integration supports Dual Vaulted Credit Card Processing, so card-on-file data is stored in both UltraCart's vault and Authorize.Net's vault — letting you route renewals and rebills through the lowest-cost path or fail over to a backup gateway without losing the customer. Advanced Fraud Detection Suite (AFDS), Account Updater, and the Authorize.Net recurring billing flag are all wired in, and you can connect multiple Authorize.Net accounts to a single UltraCart store for split processing across subsidiaries or product lines.
