Ecommerce loyalty program integration is native to UltraCart. Every account includes a complete loyalty engine that supports both cashback and points-based reward models, automatic tier qualification, campaign-driven bonus earnings, and a customer-facing My Account portal, all with no third-party loyalty app, no per-member fee, and no separate system to reconcile against your order history.
Merchants choose between two reward modes. In Cashback mode (UltraCart's recommended setup), customers earn a percentage of each order back as store credit, which also doubles as the refund-to-store-credit mechanism: instead of returning money to a card, the refund screen can issue credit the customer spends on a future order. In Points mode, customers earn configurable points per dollar, then redeem them for coupon codes or gift certificates drawn from a merchant-defined reward catalog. Either mode supports signup bonuses, vesting windows that delay availability to protect against returns, and optional expiration dates on earned credit.
On most platforms, loyalty is a paid app that syncs with the cart on a delay. Customers often see stale balances, tier upgrades lag behind the qualifying order, and redeemed rewards live outside the order ledger as floating credits that accounting has to reconcile manually. UltraCart avoids all of that because the loyalty engine writes directly to the customer profile, the order, and the storefront portal as one system. Points and cashback post on order completion, vesting and expiration apply automatically, and rewards redeem as proper order line items that flow through reporting, accounting, and refunds without extra reconciliation.
Loyalty tiers are where the program gets powerful. Each tier defines its own earning rate (cashback percentage or points per dollar), its own vesting days, and its own qualification thresholds: cumulative purchase amount, purchase within a rolling window of days, or purchase of a specific item. Tiers can also assign customers to a Pricing Tier, which means reaching VIP status in the loyalty program can unlock gated wholesale-style pricing across the entire catalog. Campaigns layer bonus earnings onto date ranges or specific items (for events like Black Friday or new-product launches), and every rewards redemption coordinates with the Coupons and Gift Certificates engines so a points redemption becomes a usable coupon or gift certificate in one click. Every function is fully accessible through the UltraCart REST API.
